Menaye Project

Transforming Women’s Economic Participation Through Tailored Business Clinics and Digital Financial Empowerment

Project Overview

Menaye Business Clinic

In 2024, the Social Entrepreneurship Hub, funded by the University of Leicester School of Law, implemented the Menaye Business Clinic to empower 500 female entrepreneurs across Kumasi-Ashanti, Takoradi-Western, and Accra-Greater Accra regions. The project focused on enhancing financial literacy and equipping women with practical tools to effectively manage their businesses and access financing. Participants attended workshops on business and financial literacy, received legal consultations, and trained on innovative financing methods. They were also introduced to digital tools such as the Menaye Loan Calculator and Affordability Check App, which helped them make informed financial decisions and improve their business management skills.

Impact Summary

The Menaye Business Clinic empowered 500 women with practical financial tools, legal support, and business training to improve their enterprises. It significantly enhanced their ability to manage finances, access funding, and grow sustainably.
