Micro-Business Simulation Workshop

Empowering Returnee Migrants with Financial Skills and Business Tools for Sustainable Reintegration and Livelihoods

Project Overview

Micro-Business Simulation Workshop

From 2022 to 2023, the Social Entrepreneurship Hub, in partnership with the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation (DSIK), delivered the Micro-Business Simulation Workshop to empower returnee migrants in Ghana. The project aimed to support 44 individuals returning from migration by equipping them with practical financial literacy, entrepreneurship skills, and tailored guidance to facilitate their reintegration into the local economy. A total of 31 participants engaged in hands-on business simulation workshops where they gained real-world experience in managing business finances, decision-making, and enterprise operations. In addition to training, the project offered personalized mentorship and business development support to help participants either gain employment or establish their own micro-businesses.

Impact Summary

The project empowered 44 returnee migrants with financial and entrepreneurial skills to rebuild their livelihoods. Many participants launched small businesses and improved their employability through guided training and mentorship.
