MSMEs COVID-19 Resiliency Project 2021

Project Overview

MSMEs COVID-19 Resiliency Project

The Social Entrepreneurship Hub, acting as the implementor of the Ghana Tech Lab Base Program, successfully trained 50 young participants in foundational digital and entrepreneurial skills. The purpose of this program was to empower youth with practical, job-ready competencies tailored to Ghana’s evolving tech sector, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry demands. Participants underwent intensive training in areas such as web development, digital media, and UI/UX design, combined with essential soft skills for workplace success. Promising participants were allowed to enroll in the GTL Incubation Program.

Key features of the initiative included personalised mentorship, access to relevant market information, and fostering a supportive network among participating businesses, all of which contributed to building long-term business resilience in a challenging economic landscape.

Impact Summary

The MSMEs COVID-19 Resiliency Project, led by the Social Entrepreneurship Hub with MDF West Africa and funded by Mastercard, empowered 110 MSMEs—mainly women-led—to adapt and thrive through post-pandemic recovery training and mentorship.
