SNV Project: Boosting Green Employment and Enterprise Opportunities in Ghana

Between 2022 and 2023, the Social Entrepreneurship Hub partnered with SNV Ghana and received funding from the European Union and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to implement the GrEEn project. The project promoted green jobs and sustainable business opportunities. It targeted women entrepreneurs and women-owned small green businesses. The initiative provided business training, coaching, and mentorship through GrEEn SME clinics to help these businesses adopt green technologies and sustainable models. A total of 39 SMEs directly benefited from the project, with 70% of them being women-owned. Successful applicants had the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to investors and grant donors, providing their businesses with a valuable boost.
