Project Overview

Stakeholder Engagement Forums: SE Hub and GNCCI

Social Entrepreneurship Hub Ghana (SE Hub), in collaboration with the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), Takoradi, co-hosted a maiden stakeholder engagement forum designed to bring together organizations that support both formal and informal businesses in Sekondi-Takoradi. The forum aimed to create strategies and foster an environment that supports synergies among all parties involved in enterprise promotion in the region.

Forum Objectives and Outcomes

  • The forum served as a platform to discuss entrepreneurial activities within the local ecosystem and how best to support its development.
  • Participants included enterprise support organizations, business advisory providers, and regional business leaders who shared insights on the challenges facing MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises).
  • The GNCCI emphasized the need for access to business advisory and coaching services, financing opportunities, and market access to strengthen local businesses.
  • SE Hub introduced the concept of effectuation logic, promoting a collaborative, partnership-based approach among support organizations rather than competition.
  • The discussion led to recommendations encouraging enterprise support organizations to collaborate fully to maximize the resources and opportunities available to businesses in the Western Region.
  • The forum recognized that while finance is a significant challenge, non-financial factors such as management capacity and ecosystem support also critically impact enterprise success.

This stakeholder engagement represented a key step in consolidating support for MSMEs in Takoradi through enhanced collaboration. The partnership between SE Hub and GNCCI continues to build pathways for sustained business growth by leveraging the strengths of diverse support organizations committed to green and sustainable entrepreneurship.

This forum also highlights the strategic importance of multi-sectoral partnerships in advancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sekondi-Takoradi and the wider Western Region of Ghana.

Impact Summary

The forum strengthened partnerships among business support organizations, improving coordination, resource sharing, and support for MSME growth and sustainability in the Western Region.
