Sustainable Enterprise Development

We support startups at every stage with incubation and acceleration programs focused on social innovation, green business, and the Sustainable Development Goals. Our inclusive approach ensures real opportunities for persons with disabilities, while dedicated initiatives empower women and youth with practical skills, mentorship, and pathways to success.

National Acceleration Program

SE-Hub, in partnership with Ghana Tech Lab (GTL), played a central role in implementing a three-phase digital and entrepreneurship development program under the National Acceleration Program from 2021 to 2023. This multi-tiered initiative empowered over 200 young Ghanaians with digital skills, startup development support, and investment readiness training.

MSMEs COVID-19 Resiliency Project 2021

The Social Entrepreneurship Hub, in partnership with MDF West Africa and funded by Mastercard, implemented the MSMEs COVID-19 Resiliency Project in 2021 to support 110 micro and small businesses—primarily women-led—with practical tools, training, and mentorship to build resilience and adapt to post-pandemic economic challenges.

SNV Project: Boosting Green Employment and Enterprise Opportunities in Ghana

Between 2022 and 2023, the Social Entrepreneurship Hub partnered with SNV Ghana to implement the EU and Netherlands funded GrEEn Project, supporting 39 small green businesses—70% women-owned—with training, coaching, and investor pitching opportunities to promote sustainability and green job creation.

Micro-Business Simulation Workshop

Between 2022 and 2023, the Social Entrepreneurship Hub and DSIK supported 44 returnee migrants in Ghana through financial literacy training, simulation workshops, and mentorship. The project enhanced participants' employability and helped some start small businesses for sustainable reintegration.

Menaye Project

In 2024, the Social Entrepreneurship Hub, with funding from the University of Leicester School of Law, ran the Menaye Business Clinic for 500 women across three regions. The project improved financial literacy, offered legal and business training, and introduced digital tools to enhance financial decision-making and business management.

WIDU Project

In 2023, the Social Entrepreneurship Hub, with GIZ support, implemented the WIDU project in Ghana to boost employment by channeling diaspora remittances into informal businesses. Reaching 900 participants, the project enhanced financial inclusion, increased investment, and supported job creation in the informal sector.

Share Foundation

From 2020 to 2021, the Social Entrepreneurship Hub, in partnership with SHARE Foundation Germany and funded by SEZ, supported 15 social enterprises through incubation, coaching, and strategy development. The project strengthened their operations, promoting sustainability, economic growth, and social impact.

Adwumawura Programme

Social Entrepreneurship Hub Ghana (SE-Hub) in partnership with the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), is empowering young entrepreneurs through the Adwumawura Programme to build and scale sustainable businesses.

Anesvad Foundation Project
